Your screen may turn off — keep it awake.

Keys: Space start/pause, R reset, + / − one minute, F focus. Shortcuts work when the timer is focused.

Set how long each work and rest phase lasts, how many rounds to run and a short prep countdown, then press Start. You hear three short blips before every change, a tone when work or rest begins and a final tone at the end. The current phase and round show on the card and in the tab title, so you can glance at it mid-set. It suits Tabata, HIIT circuits and EMOM workouts.

Ways to use the interval timer

  • Tabata: 20 s work, 10 s rest, 8 rounds (the default).
  • HIIT circuits with longer work blocks, such as 45 s on and 15 s off.
  • EMOM sessions: 60 s work, 0 s rest, one round per minute.
  • Stretching or plank holds with a short reset between sets.

How to set up an interval workout

  1. Enter the work and rest lengths in seconds, the number of rounds and the prep time.
  2. Press Start (or Space). Prep counts down first, then round 1 begins.
  3. Pause any time; the schedule continues from the same point when you resume.
  4. Bookmark or share the page address: it keeps your settings, for example ?w=45&r=15&n=10.

There is no rest after the last round, so a Tabata session lasts 10 s prep plus 8 × 20 s work and 7 × 10 s rest: 4 minutes.
